The Gambia and Senegal are famous for their batik prints.
We visited this factory in The Gambia, where the artists worked under the shade of a mango tree drawing their designs and applying wax to the fabric. This intricate process makes each batik unique.

I selected several pictures and have used these to make some of the bedspreads shown below:
